About the Classic

8th Annual CFB Trenton Pond Hockey Classic

CFB Trenton is known to most Canadians as the base where repatriated soldiers continue their journey home on the Highway of Heroes. Members of CFB Trenton have participated in every repatriation ceremony and have witnessed first hand the grief and loss of the military families. Together with the local community, we organized the CFB Trenton Pond Hockey Classic in support of Wounded Warriors Canada and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. This event will help support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces military members, veterans and their families.

February 1-3, 2019

From February 1-3, 2019, Canadian Armed Forces Members from CFB Trenton will be hosting the Pond Hockey Classic and dinner in support of Wounded Warriors Canada and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. A hockey themed fundraising dinner will headline the weekend on Friday, February 1st, accompanied by an exciting 40 team outdoor pond hockey tournament from February, 2-3.

The Pond Hockey Classic takes place in Batawa, Ontario next to the old Bata Shoe Factory. To learn more about the history of Batawa, please click here.

Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation

The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is a non-profit service organization that was incorporated on December 4, 1983. The Foundation functions exclusively for charitable purposes. It is responsible for fundraising to finance priority care medical equipment, construction, and education to benefit the Quinte Health Care Trenton Memorial Hospital and health related activities within the community. While the government funds the operating costs for the hospital, our tax dollars do not pay for much needed medical equipment.
